1982年1月在华中科技大学获理学学士；

1993年10月~1994年9月以博士后的身份赴日本通产省北海道工业技术研究所工作。

1994年10月~1999年9月在日本岩手大学任副教授；

1999年10月~2000年3月在日本岩手大学任教授；

1999年12月至今在北京大学任教授；

2002年12月~2006年12月 华中科技大学兼任教授；

2008年6月~至今 中南大学兼任教授；
