基本内容

  中国穆斯林宗教教育制度。首倡者为明代陕西经师胡登洲。他有感于"经文匮乏,学人寥落,既传译之不明,复阐扬之无自"的现状,在家收徒讲学,倡导学习经典。从其二传弟子开始,教馆从私家移入清真寺,在寺内招徒授经。课堂一般设在大殿北侧厢房,因讲授经籍为主而称经堂。清真寺延聘阿訇担任经师,称开学阿訇。学生的食宿费用等多由教坊教民供给。学员多少则视阿訇的学识声望,以及教坊的经济能力而定。这种中世纪伊斯兰教寺院教育与中国传统私塾教育相结合的形式,因适合中国穆斯林社团发展的急切需要,逐渐发展成为具有中国特色的宗教教育制度。
