　　1979年，世界流行天王Michael Jackson发表了他在Epic唱片公司旗下的第一张、亦是Quincy Jones首次为他操刀的专辑"Off The Wall"，一推出便佳评如潮，连一向不过度赞美人的乐评家Davish Marsh都在Rolling Stone杂志里赞许这张专辑。"Off The Wall"包含了舞曲的节拍、摇滚吉他的表现、灵魂的激切及恰到好处的吉巴，是一张心灵与音乐的完美组合。这张专辑全球销售迄今为止2千万张，在Billboard榜上一直停留到1984年才下榜。
